I'm making a new website which will contain certain pages from previous websites of mine (all are EWE sites).  So when I highlighted and copied the page, and pasted it onto the new site, it looked fine in EWE.  But on the web, the jpegs do not appear; just a square outline with a symbol in the corner.
So I opened EWE, deleted one of the jpegs, and reinserted an image from scratch, then published it  again -- still no change.
I put a letter on the first page of the new version so I'd be sure I was looking at the reinserted version, and the letter was there, but jpeg not coming up.

Don't insert images from another EWE site. First, copy those images to some folder and then insert them from there, like they're new images.

Try this and let us know if it works.

for all the pages there is the button "Options" within the FTP dialog.

For the home page, the name is under

second tab, top left (Cover page name HTML)

Thank you for that

It would be impossible to offer proper Javascript support as the topic is too wide.
Maybe some user could help; but meantime we want to mention the basic things.

To insert a Javascript, you must place the cursor where you want to insert it (in this case probably at the start of the page with the menu), then Insert >HTML >Within text, then in the dialog that is shown, you copy and paste the Javascript code into the gray box.

Now it must be noticed that you can not (or at least should not) write the direct HTML page names, that normally in EWE are created automatically.
So you delete the page name (e.g. "page1.html") in the Javascript example, you left only the "", you place the cursor between the two ", and you press one of the buttons in the right side of the HTML insertion dialog, the page selector. This will insert a reference to the page, that will show that a nice icon.
The software will replace the nice icon with the actual page name when you publish the website.
So you can select the pages to link with the Javascript visually, just like you do everything in EasyWebEditor.

Thank you very much for the super-quick reply as always!

Yes, I have tried the possibility of uploading the files via FileZilla, and works fine, but it is a pity not being able to use the "normal" way that is really much faster and convenient.

Any possibility that SFTP would be supported in the next future? it would be nice, many people uses 1and1 servers, and they now only use this protocole.

Last question: are there any upgrades that I can make to the 1Site software ( I think I have the original software for about 10 years now...

Thaank you for the good work!

Thanks, i have been using visionhost for couple of months now and i can vouch for there service.

anyway, if you really want to disable the cache (imho it should not be done in most situations, this was designed for news pages, such as the BBC live news page) you can use
Insert >HTML >At page start

and include this directive:
<Meta Name="Pragma" Content="no-cache">

and/or this one:
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Pragma" CONTENT="no-cache">
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Expires" CONTENT="-1">

This is automatic, built-in.

In other words, the sites created with 1Site are already OK for smartphones etc., provided that you do a decent page design

Make sure to read the Chapter "Graphics and paging pages" of the PDF manual in order to learn how to create correct "relative" (or "reflowable") pages - there are examples and the 2 basic things to learn in order to avoid to produce pages that are OK on large screens only.

Thank, I just needed that as my site looks weird and small on smartphones.
