Hi. I must make a CD with 150 pdf files of about 1MB each (text and 2 photos of 300 dpi for the printed version). Each file is a one pager on an alumnae - it is for a reunion. Do you think CDFrontEnd will handle the requirement well? I don't have enough budget to pay for the product and not have it work. I would appreciate any advice.
I want to be able to provide several indices to access the pdf files - by maiden name, current name, state of residence, major, etc. The CD has to be easy to use for the alumnae who are not computer literate, and it has to have decent response time - less than 8 seconds max. Thanks...Kaye

CDFrontEnd includes a full text search engine - it works on CDFrontEnd pages, not on the PDFs... however there's a quick trick in order to provide this kind of search feature: the pages that will link to the PDF files will have to contain the search terms, example MyNiceMaidenName John Smith Texas MyMajor ... For the rest, the product can manage up to 260000 pages / 260000 links on a single CD, so it's ok.
