I have an externally linked installer that is 200MB+. When the user clicks on the run link there is a long pause while the exe is loaded to disk before it starts the intall. Is there any way I can put up a progress bar or some sort of indicator that something is happening while the copy is taking place?
Thanks, Rick

Have you used the run: feature to run this program?
If yes, when you run a program this way, MSWindows calls the xxxxxx.exe - then it is up to this exe to show some progress indication in case it is not able to immediately run.
If no, please read the manual and use the run: feature if possibile (this makes sure that this program is run as external file on CD; this is faster than the link to embedded files, for so large files)

Here is the link:
run:setupPP.exe
Is it possible to make a link that pops up a window with an animated gif embeded and then automatically does the run (without another user click)?
