I'm hoping this board will eventually have some value. Most of the areas which promote Ebooks seem to be self serving efforts by the authors to merely separate the reader from his/her money rather than offer any advise of value.
I guess we'll just have to watch & see.

Hi Larry and support staff Thanks for the opportunity to swap ideas. I agree with you Larry. Anyway what I can't seem to find is good sites that I can upload an ebook to: Ones that don't take over copyright, give you more than 40% royalties, and are respected sites for Australians. How's that for starters?

I've surfed until my fingers are numb and still can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for and answers to my questions. I want to publish my work on cd. My book is nearly complete, written in RTF. I've got a cd burner and need a program that will display the information and protect it from piracy. Is the ebookswriter what I'm looking for?

Hi! EBooksWriter is an all in one tool, this mean you can use it directly for writing your book. You can of course import your RTF files. You will have a protected compact self extracting exe that you can distribute on CD or through the Internet. Good work!

Hi Michael, I'm curious, did ebookswriter accomplish what you needed? Were you able to work with the program easily? I too have a book that I would like to be able to sell over the Internet or on CD but am concerned about copyright and piracy issues. Appreciate feedback!

I too was looking for an e-book writer and this was just what I needed. I imported images and the text, created the contents and cover page and saved the book. It worked fantastic. Until... I had made modifications on several different occasions then tried to open the book another time. I got an error message saying 'EBOOKSWRITERFREE_E caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 0177:bff87eb5.' I am able to view the book with the viewer but am unable to edit it. All of the sample *.aeh files that came with the program work fine. Help please.

I created a simple e-book today on a new Windows XP PC. I copied some text from a Wordpad document, and pasted it into the first e-book page. When, however, I tried to paste text from another Wordpad document into a second e-book page, an error message was displayed. I had to type the whole text in by hand. Strangely, any text copied from within the e-book itself could be pasted successfully into the second page. What's the reason for this error, and how can I resolve it, please?

It can happen sometimes that when you paste a text from another program this will cause an error. We are working to solve this, but this is seldom due to the source program. A safe way is to open the NotePad, paste on it, then select the text and paste it in EBooksWriter. This solves all of the issues.
As for the kernel32.dll error, it can happen when you have too much applications opened in win95 / 98 / ME. These operating systems have an internal limit that causes this kind of error. If that happens, simply reboot the system.
