Just received this by email, can be interesting

Following are some questions about your website-authoring software. I currently have a website which I built with another product. I'm thinking of doing some more sites, though, and I'm looking for software that may be both more flexible. and more powerful.
Some questions about your software, in 5 areas:

1. Will the resulting sites work properly on Macs, or only PCs? Would they require lots of editing to work on Macs? I'm hoping for both. This is important to me. I'm in business, so I expect that most visitors will be on PCs--but I'm also in the field of education, and I'm planning a site that teachers might use--and many schools have only Macs. (I don't want to create sites on  a Mac, though, since I'm so used to PCs.)
>>>

EasyWebEditor creates Websites that are fine on PC, Mac, Linux and Unix, and on all kind of browsers, including Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, Opera.
As you guessed the editor itself runs on PC only. But this has nothing to do with the final results.

2. Buttons: Can I position buttons anywhere on the page-and if so, by simply dragging?
>>>

Yes but to position any objects on the page, you must use invisible tables, not dragging. This is the "price" to pay in order to have pages that will be good on any screen (any size, any dialog width). This tecnique is very simple and there's a chapter of the PDF manual that shows it with images.
We will add the absolute positioning (dragging) in a next release but it is a thing DEFINITELY to avoid if you want to create professional sites. Otherwise, the site will be very nice on your PC, but on another one......... usually crap.

>>>
Also, once I've gotten a set of buttons that are as I want them, can I somehow copy that set to every page, all at once-and with the links working properly? And can I later edit that set and copy it again, to overwrite the previous set on all pages?
>>>

There are 3 ways for doing this:
- you can place the button set into a left side (or right side) frame; then you can use the same frame within infinite frame sets. We have a tutorial that explain this. Please notice that EasyWebEditor do automatically generate a script that makes all the framed pages "safe" for search engines.
- you can create a new page, insert only the buttons within this page, then this page can be "included" at a specific point of multiple pages (not visually, it is shown as an icon). This way the button set can be copied identical to all pages. You can modify it once, and the modifications do propagate. To say one we use this feature to replicate the EasyWebEditor.com right side menu on each page.
- you can use a single image for the button set, then you can place links through "hot spots". This way it would be quite simple to replicate this image on all pages. Should you want to change the button art, you simply change the image (with Hypertext >Image files link archive and erase) without touching the links.

3. Music files. On my current site I play original music. But the site itself actually stores no music files-just small ASX files, which only contain the addresses of the music files; those music files  (in WMA format) are stored on a different server.  (Reason: This way, I don't have to upload those large music files every time I upload a revised version of the site.)
Would your program work this way, too? If so, how would I store those pointer files within the site-and if not, how does the program handle music?
This is very important to me, since I may have one site just for music.
>>>

You can do the same you are doing on your current site, I see no reasons for changing. The program can insert links to any kind of files through Insert >Link 3rd tab. Usually if you link to music streaming the link to insert is not http:// but can be real:// or something else. As long as you place the correct link and the server supports it, it will work. Actually it's not a feature that does rely on the editor, but's simply a game between the web server and the browser.
With the program you may as well embed music files or directly link to external music files already on a server.

>>>
4. Do your sites permit importing flash animation? (I have some on my current site.)
>>>
Yes, you can insert Flash animation with Insert >Flash. The animation can be sized and will show on Web.

>>>
5. Does the program allow adding actual html coding?
>>>
Yes, "Insert >HTML" menu.
Additionally, each object has an "HTML" tab within its properties (for example, you can add code within the <IMG > tag for an image).
