Jump to anchor in another page

I am having trouble with this.
I did these steps:

1. Insert special link
2. Selected the second tab (Normal)
3. Clicked on Target page show in current window (can also jump to an achor)
4. Then selected the target page
5. And finally clicked on the anchor in that page

Everything seems to be fine. If I go to the originating page (already published):

http://www.sucesso.net/escolher_sucesso_000011.htm

and I put the cursor over the STORMPAY banner
it shows the correct instruction at the bottom of the browser window.

But then is jumps to the top of the page, and not to the anchor (the only one on tha page).
What could be the problem ?

Within the special link window, select (on the top left) "as frameset" instead as single page (even if the page doesn't contain frames).

This will disable the automatic redirection script that now is causing the anchor malfunctioning (the script is useful for search engines, if the visitor does enter a frame it does redirect to the frameset page).

Okay, it works, but not by replacing current window (single/frameset option is disabled for this option). It works opening a new window. Okay for me.

Just a small note.

Saving the name for the link can only be in letters right?  Tried numbers but would not work.

I do not understand the question. The links I've created so far are not named - can they be? How?

As for the special link / anchors issue: if theanchors on the target page do not work, the reason is you should choose (on the top left of the special link dialog) Target window/frame shows as: *frameset*

In fact, you can notice that if you choose *single*, the link will show the page abc-000123.htm ; if you choose *frameset* it will show abc_000123.htm

any "-" page (such as abc-000123.htm) contains a "reframer" script (useful for search engines: if say a Google visitor do enter a frame, it is automatically redirected to the frame set).

This script is very nice but it eats anchor (if you enter from a search engine this is not a problem ).

As for the Mon Bidoux question.......
Maybe he found that any anchor must be named as a number (they are a1 a2 a3.... etc.). It is not possible to assign names to the anchors.

Oh oh!

Mo mi spiego Support Staff.

Clicking on special link/independent pop-up/frameset/name.  When entering say 217 in "name" field that's when it goes bananas and doesn't work.  If i type in CEC217 then it is accepted.

Yes, you can't name a window with just numbers.

Tech explain: The name of any windows is accessible from Javascript (if you ever want to use Javascript! if you don't want to use it, it is accessible anyway ). Javascript must distinguish between a number and an identifier. So any identifier MUST start with at least one letter......

Se ti capisco bene batistajm,

do a right-click in the frame,
select properties
and give it a name.

But that renames the frame, right? Not the link itself.

You're right Joma.
It was hard for me to find out how to go about to give it a name i thought it might have been part of his problem too.
Because when you save the file it gives it a random name automatically which may not be so nice when you're looking to link up to it.

The fact remains as Support mentionned, you must give the link a name that starts with letters.
So if you can save your frame with the name you want to give it then it's easier for you to find yourself right?
