how to make a 1site website compatible with iphones,smartphones etc.. has anyone done this?

This is automatic, built-in. In other words, the sites created with 1Site are already OK for smartphones etc., provided that you do a decent page design Make sure to read the Chapter "Graphics and paging pages" of the PDF manual in order to learn how to create correct "relative" (or "reflowable") pages - there are examples and the 2 basic things to learn in order to avoid to produce pages that are OK on large screens only.

create a new "SubDomain" create a new "lite weight" website, and add all the " lite weight " HTML/php files in the htdocs or html/www folder of the subdomain and you are done setting up website compatible for mobile.
