I have the shopping cart set up and working fine in read only but when I try it in either "browser preview" or on the actual website it won't open, just an outline briefly appears then nothing. Anyone have any advice where I'm going wrong or what I can do to correct it ?

Be sure Javascript is enabled on the browser!
You may find this within "Options" or security settings.
The default is "enabled"

Greetings.   After several weeks of trial and error with my shopping cart, I have learned the hard way that the shopping cart is case sensitive, if that makes any sense? I just went into the editor this morning and redid the carts, only changing the upper cases with the lower. It seems to be working fine now. Hope this might help you.

Yes, everything is CaSE seNsiTiVE

Actually the "identifier" for each product must be lowercase, and can not start with a number (and can't contain spaces or strange symbols).
E.g.

id213 OK
mickey OK
Mouse KO
what a bad id KO
1 ident KO
213ooyes KO

Thanks for posting this revelation regarding changing the ID code of items to lower case.  I've been frustrated for days about this matter.  It works great now.

I signed up with a Quick Shopping Cart through Go Daddy.  I have set it up and need to have a button/link that can be pressed on my website which will take them there.  I went to insert then shopping cart but...

EasyWebEditor's Insert >Link menu or Insert > (plugin) Link... are for the INTERNAL shopping cart, or for the shopping cart plug-ins.

In your case, you want to link to an external shopping cart, the Godaddy Shopping Cart.

They must provide you the instructions on how to place this link.

Then may provide you a URL such as http://www.something.aa/supercart?31&dasd&231

(you can insert this url with Insert >Link then the 3rd tab, then Add+, you copy / write the URL, you press OK)

or they may provide an HTML code (use Insert >HTML so)

Without other details I can't say more......

I've created my web site via EWE and now need to integrate it with my PAYMENT GATEWAY PROVIDER, Bank Card USA,* in  order to facilitate credit card charges via my Shopping Cart.

RTWare's setup instructions are as follows:
"You can accept payments immediately through our payment gateway by choosing any of the pre-integrated, third-party products below. As third party solutions providers, they have been certified against rigid Authorize.Net-dictated performance and security standards."

The above referred-to list of "pre-integrated, third-party products" includes "cf_ezcart ColdFusion Shopping Cart," "Apple Cart" and "CyberOffice Shopping Cart" to name only 3 out of the many listed.

My question is this: what is the name/designation of your EWE Shopping Cart, and is it one of those listed by RTWare/Authorize.Net as plugin-able with their software? While I'm not a PC expert, I'm able to do most of my own PC tasks -- BUT is this "marrying" process beyond my humble capabilities (i.e., do I need to incur more unwanted expense --
your promos implied all this was easy and do-able by the likes of yours truly) or do I need to hire a Guru?

There are around 10000 payment systems available on the Internet, maybe more.
So we don't know them all.... Usually they provide you some codes that you can insert with Insert >HTML, so you can use them all (but some knowledge is required).

We do recommend Pageville that can be used in a visual way (there is a plug-in that permits you to add "buy link" visually in EWE), you can ask more to them at:
www.pageville.com/ecommerce.html?EWE

Of course you can use all the other payment systems, at 99.999% they provide you some "codes" (a text), you use Insert >HTML >Within text, copy & paste the code(the text) they provide for the buy link, then Ok and EWE shows a small icon. Once published, that icon transforms in the buy link (if you copied correctly). Usually you don't have to understand what you are copying and pasting.
By the way not all the ecommerce systems are simple. But some are, and with these systems you usually will be ok with just of some copy and paste.
