Curious as to why the images I insert in to a table with an added column end up a couple of inches either direction in the wrong place,or sometimes on the next line down despite being put on the line above.Has anyone else experienced this, and what is the solution?

I have this same problem, but only when the site is viewed through IE. My images are exactly right when the site is viewed through Mozilla or Netscape. When viewed in IE, two of the images are separated from the others by about a 1/4". - Still haven't found a fix for this. . .Perhaps someone else knows how to fix this

An image when within a column of a table "forces" the table column to grow (in width) to contain the image.
If you put two images side by side (without a space between them) some browsers treat this as a word, i.e. the 2 images are always shown besides.

You should try until you find the positioning you like. You may also insert a table within another table in order to fine-tune the positioning.

Some general tricks are explained in the Chapter "Graphics and paging pages" of the EasyWebEditor PDF manual

by the way the problem you are experiencing maybe is caused by the "style" applied to the current paragraph. You can edit it (or add new styles) with the Format menu (e.g Format >Styles).

To remove format information applied on the top of the style (in other words, to force the current paragraph to comply with the style that is applied to the paragraph) use Format >Reformat or CTRL+F6

Maybe you should check the paragraph Style.
I am not sure I understand what you mean.
