I have just noticed a problem with the displaying of my site, www.meltondistrictldg.org.uk on firefox. There is a clickable map which is made up of a number of smaller maps. In IE6 the maps appear all nicley joined together. In Firefox they are separated by a bit of background.
Does this happen in all versions of FF? I am using V1.0 at the moment. Could it be a problem with FF or is it a EWE problem?

Firefox have a couple of small issues.
Another one is an incorrect rendering of <DIV ALIGN="center" or "right" when there is also a CLASS= tag. It is rare but it may happen.
Please refer to the Firefox Newsgroup and report them. They will correct, sooner or later.
The code generated by EWE is perfectly ok.

I notice that the problem occurs when the window is narrow but not when it is a full screen.

Hi,
Is this why my site pages are aligned to the left in Firefox, but I have aligned it in the centre within EWE? They appear in the centre when using IE.

Please refer to Firefox support team. I think they have still a bug with the DIV ALIGN and CLASS management. The code generated by EWE / 1SITE is correct.

I have no doubts that EWE is spot on - I think it is a great product. Will be downloading the full edition next week, can't wait!
Unfortunately (see BugZilla topic above) Firefox guys say they are right and all the other browsers (since Netscape 3.0... around year 1996) are wrong. Sad.
Maybe we should be happy as they have found the Light (and bye bye to the backward compatibility...!). Ok we are ironic but please see the BugZilla topic and decide by yourself.
They helped us to find a workaround, and the new VisualVision engine now generates an additional chunk of code that makes the pages good also for Firefox 1.0. This will be released in 24 hours or so.
Most of you should have to update to 2005 version to have the new publishing engine (email orders@visualvision.com) - sorry we can not provide it for free and we can not apply the "correction" to version 2004 or older. Please don't blame us - it is their choice to not be compatible with all other existing CSS implementations. The CSS specification is ambiguous and can be read both their way and the other browser's way.
If you want to correct the bug manually, it is possible. On a right aligned table, select Table >Properties, click on the HTML tab, then add this code: style='margin-left:auto;margin-right:3mm;' On a centered table, the same and: style='margin-left:auto;margin-right:auto;'
This because Firefox ignores the default text-align. Of course we hope they will fix their weird CSS interpretation... the Light is good, but too much Light is too much... .
