I purchased 1Site recently, and I'm wondering if I can use it to create a blog, which I want to monetize. All the the standalone blog companies I see out there require that you know code/html n order to monetize the site, and I haven't got a clue. Is this possible for me to do using 1Site? In order to have a successful blog, I think you need to have trackback, comments, etc.?
If not, I want to keep 1Site anyway, as I want to create non-blog sites as well.

A blog is usually created using an automatic script on the server, in other words a "blog program" (just like this forum, this forum is managed with a script on the server, a "forum program").
With 1SITE you can create something similar (with similar look) but not exactly a blog, as a real blog is a live program.
I think that as well most of Web host (example ? our partner DewaHost) are now offering a pre-installed Forum on their Control Panel, within the next incoming months they will offer a Blog within the Control Panel.
In other words I think that within a few months you will be able to ask your host / web server to install a blog for you on your server (maybe with a little additional fee).
By the way, it is likely that some Blog scripts are ALREADY available as public domain or GNU or available for a small fee - you may ask to your host / web server. Good luck

I use 1site to maintain my blog(s) with no problem.
Because of the way 1site works (and indeed w3c HTML), any added text and/or photos moves the rest of the page down nicely to make room. I love the way compliant HTML re-paginates to suit the window size and font size.
Okay, it's not a true LIVE blog, but have a look at mine:
Mine is updated VERY easily quite often. This is helped by the fact that i'm not making it look fancy at all. Keeping the layout deliberately simple helps a huge amount!!
Hope that helps.
