Hi there!
I've worked with EWE before to create different parts of an existing webpage done with FrontPage by saving the work in .html format.
Now in the process of slowly revamping the whole webpage with 1st Site but wondering about ftp ing to server.
Does 1st Site automatically create the required .index file? If so, then all i basically have to do is upload and not worry about erasing existing files created with FP right?

Yes 1SITE uploads automatically. However, if there is previous content, better to erase it before publishing with 1SITE.
To delete existing files is simple. When within the 1SITE publishing dialog, *before* pressing the big publish button, do select all the files on the right side of the dialog (with the cursor keys or with the mouse) then hit the DEL key on the keyboard (or use the right mouse button).
This will delete the previous content on the server and avoids possible overlaps.
