With 1st Site i can choose a specific template to start up a webpage, which is nice!
Well, if i click in the right side of the template for a new page i loose the lovely menu in the left panel! How do i keep that panel is a mystery to me. I don't want to "pull" a new one in...

There are 2 main different way for using frames.
They are explained in the tutorial "How to create a left side menu" (available with F1, then click Tutorials).
One of these 2 ways, you do not see the left menu on all the pages (you see it only for the first page), but, on the actual site, it will be there.
Please read the page "How to create a left side menu" in the manual, and try both ways. This is the best way for learning how the frames work. It is an extremely powerful and nice way, but's terribly hard to explain with words.
