Hello - used EWE to create inexpensive site for a civic/service group with no $$ to spend. Generally I'm seeking opinions and suggestions to help the site do more to catch the eyes in our community.

Hi! Not so bad... personally maybe I would have used some round button image instead of the links (white on the green boxes), but the text has the advantage that loads fast.... the site is clean and well structured.
I see that the small image on the home is actually a large image, you must have used the Image Properties and changed the size there....... don't you?? this should be avoided (unless in particular situations) as this means that the visitors load the large image (may be very slow for people with a slow Internet line) then see it small.......
You should create the small image with a paint program, e.g. with a 300 x 200 resample, and maybe link this small image to a page with the large image so people may see the large photo with a click on the small one. Well now "experts" can already.... I see a lot of cakes on the table... But if you follow my suggestion your home page will load faster... and you won't risk to have a *big* host bill if your website will become a lot visited

Wow - thank you very much. I'd asked a few friends why some pages loaded a lot faster than others - to no avail. Thanks to you, I know now what I have to try to do to correct the problem.
This was my first attempt, so I appreciate doubly your kind words.
I'd like to add some life (mild, such as a pattern) in place of the white background...would that add more time to download? And i may not be able to do that at all, because the EWE program that I have does not have the background patterns where the instrucitons said I should find them. If you have the time, I'd welcome your advice.

Hi! If the background image byte size is not too much, it won't slow down so much.

If you correctly installed the clip art, they are available by selecting the Disk tab and by pressing the small image button with the mountain.
