Topic Summary

How do I install the Facebook Like button on my website, there are several different methods to insert this as per facebook instructions, and I've tried all of them but when I 'preview' my site before publishing, it doesn't appear .. or if it does, it's a world icon with a red x .. help would be appreciated. Thank You.

normally you should just use Insert >HTML >Within text to place the button where you like in the text.

it will NOT preview as it is online content generated by the facebook server, it will work only when published (if you copy and paste correctly! )

the facebook Like Box has three choices of inserting code
HTML5
XFBML
IFRAME

I'm not sure which to choose so I tried the IFRAME, and it doesn't seem to work .. I tried to insert in different ways but that didn't work either .. does anyone have experience with this on your own website ?

Okay well that would explain why I can't preview it before publishing it. So I'll have to publish first and then check it out, hopefully it works. I did post another message in reference to the ' Like Box ' I'm sure it's probably the same as you mentioned, but re: the
HTML5
XFBML
IFRAME
Which should I use ? do you know? Thank You!

Thank you. I neglected the FB button for too long, now I've got a better understanding of coding.
