I am having problem to publish in my 1and1 folder. Some months ago worked fine, but now the same FTP parameters do not work any more. I spoke with 1and1 support and they told me now the name of FTP server is no longer the name of the domain, they use new particular names like home3XXXXXXXX.1and1-data.host
Other change is the protocole, now is SFTP instead of FTP, but apparently this only requires that you change port from 21 to 22.
I have done these changes in my 1Site ftp panel, and tryed all sort of combinations (putting prefix ftp., and not using it also) but I cannot get communication with the ftp server.
I get error: 500 no data- winsock error#11004
Any ideas please? Does 1Site supports SFTP? What am I doing wrong?
Thank you!

At present 1Site does not support SFTP (it's slow and almost nobody uses it). If you are forced to use it you can use the menu File Save other formats / export pages
to save the HTML/JPEG/etc. files (this is actually what the website is made of) into a folder, then you can publish the folder with a external FTP program, such as Filezilla https://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla/
Of course with this system you do not have the internal automatic optimization (that publishes the modified pages only).

by the way Error 500 may be due also to other causes, see www.1site.info/ftp/

Thank you very much for the super-quick reply as always!
Yes, I have tried the possibility of uploading the files via FileZilla, and works fine, but it is a pity not being able to use the "normal" way that is really much faster and convenient.
Any possibility that SFTP would be supported in the next future? it would be nice, many people uses 1and1 servers, and they now only use this protocole.
Last question: are there any upgrades that I can make to the 1Site software ( I think I have the original software for about 10 years now...
