I'm adding the page names at the top of my Home page by using a table with a border so that each one looks like a button. But when I add the link to the page, the font changes to underlined and blue. I just want to use white text. Does anybody know how I can do this please.

by default the links are underlined and blue, but you can change this.
Just edit the Style you are using with Format >Styles.
You may as well create a new style. This also for other text properties. For example in a website I am doing now, I have some pages with normal background while I want maroon links and black text, so I create the style TextNormal for this.
Then I have other pages with black background where I want white text and bright orange links, and I have created a new Style and called it TextWhite.
To apply a Style to a paragraph you use one of the toolbars on the top of the page.

Thanks. I've created a style called "button". What I wasn't doing was going into the last tab - links.

This is not possible without changing the theme's default font style, which would modify the style for all links, which isn't what you want.
The only way to accomplish this as of Office 2013 and previous versions is to insert the link, then modify the style of the text manually.
However, you can speed this process up by creating a new style with your desired font settings, selecting the link text, and applying the style by left-clicking it. That would work for Office 2013 and 2010.

It worked on mine without changing the text format. :)
