As you may know, some installations of Office 2000/XP don't support sharing the spell-check function with other applications. This sharing is used by our products and enables users to keep a single "custom dictionary", retaining the same spell-check criteria for all (compatible) applications running on the PC.
A practical solution to get things working quickly was to install an old MSWord release (for example Word 7).
Another solution (for English MSWindows editions only) is to download this ZIP:
http://www.visualvision.com/download/SpellFix.zip
First close all programs, then extract the .dll .dic and .lex files to the directory shown in the ZIP archive. Then double-click the SpellFix.reg file, this will update the MSWindows registry and
you're done.

Make sure you will unzip the files by retaining the full file path, or the program won't be able to find them.
In short, the files should go to:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof\

I have never been able to get the zip system you suggest to work under Windows XP Pro. HP just wont let me use the spell check options, they never highlight and become useable. I have tried cleaning the reg first. removing everything, installing right after a fresh install of Windows, even tried moving the files into other places. Rebooted, restored, reinstalled and so on. If someone knows of I fix I would like to know how you did it. Optionaly it would be nice if HP had its own or was able to use one other than MS, as not all of us use MS office.
I just use a paper dictionary or copy and past into Open Office and use its spell check then bring it back into HP. It works but it would be nice to do everything in one app, since this seems to be the basis of HPs designed.
Well thats my two cents.

It works on XP as the machine I am using now has XP PRO, and the spell check and red-underline on HyperPublish does work.
Just be sure to enter as "administrator" before attempting to modify the registry, otherwise the registry won't be touched.
Then be sure that the files pointed by the registry *do actually exist*.
If you unzip correctly (with path and filename) they will.
The files are:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof\MSSP2_EN.LEX
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof\MSSP232.DLL
They should exist and within this folder (unless you do modify the registry file supplied).
Then HyperPublish will autodetect the spell check. You might have to check some options or to reinstall.
