Post by RdRunnr on Apr 17th, 2002, 10:02am
Is there a way to rename my main page when i publish?  Mine is called index.htm and my new provider wants it called index.html. I don't see anywhere I can rename it.

Through the menus:

Publish\Browser Preview\Html...

Then at the base of the HTML Export Window:
Extension for pages - choose .htm or .html

I just tested one of my Index.htm by simply "renaming" it to Index.html in the Explorer and it works both ways. That is in Windows 98 using IExplorer 5.5.

What O/S are you using and which Browser ?

The main page is special.
You can rename it with "Hypertext >Current hypertext properties", second tab, cover page html name (on the right).
The default is index.htm

You can also set what page is the main page (or cover page), "Hypertext >Current hypertext properties", second tab, click "Cover" on the left of the screen.
