Title: Changing LINK COLOUR
Post by batistajm on Mar 21st, 2004, 6:09am
I have a page with a navy blue background and white text. I need to insert a link in a word, which causes it to turn light blue, making it very difficult to read. I went to Hypertext \ Current hypertext properties \ Page settings, background  and in HTML 2 colours, changed the blue to yellow. But the links remain blue, even after, getting out and in of Easy Web, deleting and re-inserting the link again. What´s the mistake here ???  ???

HTML 2 is the setting for HTML 2.0 (this means that the ones with a very old browser 1995-1996 edition) or palmtop or set top box will see this color.
For everybody else, the link color setting is the one in the style applied to the paragraph.

To edit / add styles, use Format >Styles.
To apply a style to the selected paragraph(s) use the styles' toolbar.

By the way, this is a frequent question, please just hit F1 then click on "Frequently Asked Questions", or go to

or

(depending on the product you have)

To change the colour of a link you must edit the STYLE of the paragraph that contains the link (you might want to create a new Style).

Use "Format >Styles".

The PDF manual has a whole chapter about styles, please read it.
