Title: Website on CD? Post by Alan Hickey on Sep 19th, 2002, 2:01pm ???This may seem like a dumb question to some but , what is the purpose of having a website on a CD? Why wouldn't someone just go to the website instead of loading a CD and viewing the website there? I don't see the purpose but I'm sure there is one. Can someone fill me in? Thanks! |

Post by Support Staff on Sep 20th, 2002, 5:27pm Maybe not the entire Web site, but is usually handy using for example HyperPublish to create a brochure, then publishing it to Web site and to CD. You can replicate the CD and give it to the customers without Internet access, or that don't want to spend time on the Internet. Consider that in some countries (also english speaking ones) the cost of the telecom is higher than in US, and CDs can be very useful, specially when you have a 1000-2000 pages document. |

Have you been pleased and do you have a site created with this software that I can view? If so, would you email the site? Thank you. |

This is the first website I've built and I'm sure that there are things that I could have done better. One thing I can tell you is that the Visual Vision software... Easy Web Editor(which I started with) and HyperPublish are just excellent and the support staff have been more than helpful whenever there was something that I didn't quite understand.
