Title: Word Wrap when Printing Post by John Santana on Sep 7th, 2005, 5:28pm Part of the feature set of RoboAuthor is that we can print our project as a manual. However, when I try printing (tried different printers, etc), text that is confined in tables does not "wrap" at all--it is just printed in a very wide column. I'm using the trial version, and this is a make-or-break issue for me. If we can't print the project as a manual, then I can't see using RoboAuthor or HyperPublish. Compliling the project to a chm file works fine, but print from a chm file is not convenient because you can't print the whole project--just topics and sub-topics. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks, JS ??? |

Title: Re: Word Wrap when Printing Post by Support Staff on Sep 15th, 2005, 11:44am This happens ONLY if your table has a fixed size. Solutions: 1) make sure that the table has a percent size and of course that is not included within a cell of another table that is fixed 2) make sure that there aren't too-much-large images within the table (maybe other rows or columns). Images do force the table width - in order to enforce your layout, and to not crop images, the program enlarges a table in order to fit all images contained. In other words, if the table has no constraints, it resizes to its percent width (example, 100% of the paper size) and so the text will correctly wrap. Another possible (rare) error is to use instead "normal" spaces (spacebar) non-breaking-spaces (maybe you introduced them with copy and paste, or ALT + 160) |
